  1. I looked this Pascal guy up, which probably only made me more confused. From just the little I read about his philosophical “schools”, I don’t think I would have expected him to be so hard/harsh on religion as I read it in this quote. Even so, I couldn’t agree with it more, again based on my interpretation of what he’s saying here.

    1. He is confusing sometimes. I think his difficulty was with the Catholic Church and the Church of England. Pascal’s Wager is one of my favorite quotes but I certainly agree with his condemnation of acts inconsistent with “christianity” (little c by choice).
